Booking choice: The Duomo and Last Supper tour, from $127 per person. Check dates Tour details
Yes, you can see the Duomo and the Last Supper on the same day. Santa Maria delle Grazie is under 2 km west of the cathedral, a 20 to 25-minute walk. The hard part is the Last Supper ticket: €15 for adults, booking compulsory for everyone, and sold out weeks or months ahead for most dates.
Facts below come from the official Cenacolo Vinciano visitor information and the Duomo's own pages. One thing to know first: neither of the Last Supper combo tours on this site includes the Duomo roof.
The quick answer
Book the Last Supper first, because it decides your day: €15 adults, €2 ages 18 to 25, free under 18, Tuesday to Sunday only. Tickets open in blocks of several months, plus extra tickets every Wednesday at noon for the following week. If it is sold out, a combo tour with reserved entry costs $113 to $127. Climb the Duomo roof in the morning on a separate ticket.

Can you see the Duomo and the Last Supper on the same day?
Yes, easily, if you have the Last Supper ticket. The two are under 2 km apart and the Last Supper visit lasts 15 minutes.
A sensible day: the Duomo roof at 9 am, the cathedral, lunch, then the Last Supper in the afternoon. The cathedral opens to visitors from 9 am to 7 pm; the Cenacolo from 8.15 am to 7 pm, Tuesday to Sunday. Leave at least an hour between them, because the Cenacolo asks you to arrive 30 minutes before your slot or lose the ticket.
Two days don't work: Mondays, when the Last Supper is closed, and Sunday mornings if you want a guided tour inside the Duomo (services can limit visits). Wednesday is fine for both, though the Duomo Museum is closed that day.
The Last Supper slot is the hard part. This small-group tour has it reserved, with the Duomo interior on the way.
Check dates for the Duomo and Last Supper tourHow do Last Supper tickets work?
Named, timed tickets for a 15-minute visit, booked online only. Adults pay €15, ages 18 to 25 pay €2, and under-18s are free but still need a booking.
The essentials from the official Cenacolo page, next to the Duomo for comparison:
| Last Supper | Duomo rooftop | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | €15 adults (25+); €2 ages 18 to 25; free under 18 | €22 to €26 Duomo Pass; under 6 free |
| Booking | Compulsory for everyone, even infants; names on tickets | Timed slot; strongly advised |
| Length | 15 minutes, 40 people at most | 45 to 60 minutes on the roof |
| Open | Tue to Sun, 8.15 am to 7 pm, last entry 6.45 pm | Daily, about 9 am to 7 pm, last entry 6.10 pm |
| Closed | Mondays, 1 January, 25 December | Rarely, for weather or events |
| Arrive | 30 minutes early, or lose the ticket | 15 minutes early for security |
| Sells out | Weeks to months ahead | Days ahead in summer |
Online purchases are capped at five tickets, and the names make resale hard. Bring ID: some tours require a passport or ID card at the door. Big bags, food and drink stay outside; the ticket office has lockers for up to 60 minutes.
When are Last Supper tickets released?
In blocks of several months, announced on the official site, plus a small batch every Wednesday at noon for the following week.
In 2026 the Cenacolo released tickets in three blocks: on 17 December 2025 for February to April, on 24 March 2026 for May to August, and on 23 June 2026 at 12 noon for September to December. Notice before each release ranged from one to eight days, so check the news page often. As of late October 2026 no date had been announced for January 2027 onward; the release history and the next dates are tracked in our Last Supper tickets 2027 post.
On release day, be online at noon sharp. Popular weekend and morning slots go within hours. The official sellers are the Cenacolo's own Vivaticket shop and lastsupper.shop; anything else is a reseller with a markup.

What if Last Supper tickets are sold out?
Try the Wednesday noon release, check again in the last days for returns, or book a tour that holds reserved slots.
Every Wednesday at 12 noon the Cenacolo puts extra tickets on sale for the following week, online only. They go fast, so set an alarm and be logged in. Returns also appear at short notice, especially from groups, so a refresh the evening before can work.
If you have one day in Milan, a tour is the realistic answer. Licensed operators hold their own entry slots. Robert T. on the City Wonders tour: "Access to Last Supper was great [...] the tickets were otherwise sold out." Frank G. on Veditalia's day tour: "You can tour this yourself through its dedicate website, but you have to schedule it months ahead and they sell out very quickly."

Reserved Last Supper entry, the Duomo interior and a walk past La Scala and Sforza Castle, in a group of 14 at most. No rooftop.
Explore the Duomo and Last Supper tour Tour detailsWhich tours include both the Duomo and the Last Supper?
Two on this site: the 3-hour City Wonders small-group tour and Veditalia's 6-hour Milan in one day. Neither goes up on the Duomo roof.
Both include a guided visit inside the cathedral and reserved Last Supper entry. The roof is the gap: you would add it on another ticket or another morning.
| Duomo and Last Supper | Milan in one day | |
|---|---|---|
| From | $127 | $113 |
| Length | 3 hours | 6 hours, with about 1 hour for lunch (not included) |
| Duomo | Inside, about 45 minutes | Inside, about 1 hour |
| Duomo roof | No | No |
| Also | Galleria, La Scala, Brera, Sforza Castle | Galleria, San Maurizio, Sforza Castle, Sempione Park |
| Group | 14 at most | 20 at most |
| Rating | 4.6 stars | 4.7 stars |
| Watch out | No Duomo interior on Sundays and religious holidays; all names needed at booking | Full names and ID needed for the Last Supper |
Guests notice the missing roof. Frank G. again: "A word of note, the Duomo visit does not include the terraces and rooftop." Book the roof yourself for the morning, or the day after.
The whole centre in one guided day: the Duomo, San Maurizio, Sforza Castle and the Last Supper with reserved entry.
Check dates for Milan in one dayWhat is the best order for the Duomo, the roof and the Last Supper?
The Duomo roof first thing, the cathedral after it, and the Last Supper in the afternoon. Build the day around the Last Supper slot.
- 9 am: climb to the terraces on a Duomo Pass, before the queues and the heat.
- 10 to 11 am: the cathedral and, if you have time, the Duomo Museum (closed Wednesdays). The Duomo Pass is also valid the next day, so nothing has to happen at once.
- Lunch: anywhere between the Galleria and Corso Magenta.
- Afternoon: the Last Supper, arriving 30 minutes before your slot.
With a combo tour, work backwards from its start time. The City Wonders tour begins at the Duomo and ends at the Last Supper, so the roof fits before it or the next morning. Veditalia's day tour starts at Piazza Cadorna, so the roof belongs on another day. Timing tips for the roof are in the best time to visit.

How do you get from the Duomo to the Last Supper?
Walk 20 to 25 minutes west via Via Dante or Corso Magenta, or take metro line M1 from Duomo to Conciliazione or Cadorna and walk 5 to 10 minutes.
The walk is the nicer option: from the cathedral past Piazza Cordusio, then either up Via Dante towards Sforza Castle or along Corso Magenta past San Maurizio. The church is at Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie 2. By metro, the red M1 line runs from Duomo to Cadorna and Conciliazione in a few minutes; Conciliazione is the closer stop. Tram 16 stops right outside, at Santa Maria delle Grazie, as the Cenacolo page notes.
Budget 40 minutes from the end of the roof visit to the Cenacolo door, including the 30-minute early arrival. The roof descent alone takes 10 minutes.

How much does a Duomo and Last Supper day cost?
On your own, €41 per adult: the €26 Duomo Pass Lift and the €15 Last Supper ticket. A combo tour costs $113 to $127, without the roof.
The do-it-yourself day is far cheaper, about $48 against $127 plus a roof ticket. The catch is availability. If you can get a Last Supper ticket on the official site, book it and use the guide money elsewhere. If you can't, the combo tour is the only reliable way in, and the extra is the price of the ticket you couldn't get.
Ages 18 to 25 pay only €2 at the Last Supper, and under-18s go free, so families save most by booking direct. Add the roof with the Duomo and rooftop guided tour if you want a guide up there too.
Got your Last Supper slot? Add the roof with a guide: cathedral and terraces, 2.5 hours, from $56.
